VBS part 2

VBS!

We had a great week at VBS this year! Our theme was power lab, so at the end of each day Eddie would do some science experiment that reinforced the Bible lesson from that day. We had a great bunch of kids (55 different kids!) and a wonderful group of helpers!

In case you are wondering, that's cornstarch mixed with water, and yes, you can walk on it. Very cool!

Special Guests

Last month we had the privilege of having Ginger Millermom and her family with us at church. She is an amazing singer with such a heart for God. It was such a joy to meet them!

We also had one of our missionaries visit. Theo Kasavi, missionary to Africa came and shared his burden for the children in Africa. It is always great to meet our missionaries.

One year already!

We can hardly believe that May 17th marked a full year here at Kendrick already! We are so very thankful to be here and feel blessed beyond measure. God has been so good to us!

These pictures just show a little bit of the landscaping that we were able to do this spring. It is so nice to have the front yard landscaped. I don't have a new enough picture, but now there is pea gravel in the flower beds.

AWANA Grand Prix

In May was our AWANA Grand Prix. Not only did the T-n-T kids make derby cars, but we had an adult class as well.

The picture below is of the T-n-T race winner and the adult class winner. Yay Eddie! ;-)

All the T-n-T kids did a great job on their cars!

Easter Sunrise Service

Easter morning we had a great turnout for the sunrise service. This picture shows you a few of the dedicated ones that came out! It was a beautiful morning and a great start to Easter Sunday.

One of the families in church hosted an Easter egg hunt for all of the kids after the Sunrise service. They had so much fun!

Such a beautiful sight!

Traditional Passover Seder

Right before Easter, we hosted a traditional Passover Seder meal
here at the church. The man that helped put it together is a
Messianic jew who used to live out here.

Here we are reading through the parts of the meal.
Everyone really seemed to enjoy a new perspective on
the Passover.

Rachel found the hidden bread, a part of the ceremony,
for which she got $5!
