Grand Prix

Ok, so this picture really has nothing to do with Grand Prix, but I loved this picture of Micah and thought I'd sneak it in!

We had our last AWANA for the school year along with our grand prix races and awards.
Rachel received her cubbies award for saying all 24 of her verses. She loves cubbies and did a great job this year!

Lydia got her 1st year Sparks award for completing her book. She got done with her book and review so early that she also memorized A-F of the alphabet verses. She did a super job!

Hannah was pretty excited to get her Sparky award. It is for completing all three sparks books and reviews. She did such a great job, she finished all three in two years!

Samuel also got a Bible memory verse award, but I didn't get a picture. He got his 3rd year award, and got done so early that he also memorized James chapter 1! So proud of all of them! Great job kiddos! Along with awards, we had our grand prix races where the T-n-T kids make derby cars. There are 2 categories, creative design and speed. Samuel made his car to look like a fire radio, just like Eddie's! He took third place for creative design!

Not only was his car creative, but it was FAST! He took 1st place in the races! He was pretty excited, can you tell?! ;-)

Hoops of Hope

Hoops of Hope Ministries from Colorado Springs came out and did a presentation for our AWANA club. The kids had a great time and Brent did a great job, not only with his basketball skills, but also with clearly presenting the Gospel to all those present.

More springtime adventures

In addition to raising chicks, we also had a 5 caterpillars that we got to watch form their chrysalis and and then hatch into butterflies! That was a very fun project. Even though I don't have a picture with Micah and the butterflies, he absolutely loved them. He even got to hold one, but I missed getting a good picture.

Isn't the butterfly pretty?!

Chicks

This spring we are raising chickens. The kids have wanted to do this for a long time and so we decided that this would be a good year. These first two pictures are from when we first got the chicks - about a month ago. Aren't they cute?!

Here is a recent picture with the chicks. They are getting so big and about ready to go live with our neighbors!

Family

This was taken in Twin Falls, Idaho on our way home from the missions conference in Washington.

At the missions conference -- the only night that we all got to attend. Eddie and the older kids really enjoyed their time at the conference. Unfortunately, Rachel was sick for most of it and so half of us missed it.

Our trip home was a nice time of relaxing and sight seeing. Here we are at Arches National Park.
