Basketball

We are officially a basketball family. Samuel has been playing middle school ball for the local school here and is loving it. They have a young team, but they are learning and improving more and more each game.
That's my boy!
Also, two of the girls are playing on a league basketball team. They are both very excited and can't wait for their first game this weekend.
These two on the other hand just enjoy being silly!

Thanksgiving Eve

This might possibly be my favorite church service of the year. It is always a great evening where we give thanks to God through testimony, special music and learning from His Word. This year we had 14 special music pieces and instead of showing you a picture of each one, I picked out my favorite three. Hmmm...I just might be a bit partial. ;-)

Operation Christmas Child

Each November our church spends an evening packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse.
59 shoeboxes all packed and ready to be sent off!

Hannah's Birthday

Playing with Hannah's new flashlight.
Happy Birthday, my sweet girl! You are loved!
She was taking too long to blow out her candles, so Micah decided to help!
Singing "Happy Birthday" Even Grandpa & Grandma got to sing along on the phone!

AWANA Nights

AWANA has been a bit different for us this year. Previously, only Sarah had helped with it, but this year she is the commander and Eddie is teaching T & T. The first half of the year is nearly over. We have had a lot of fun with the theme nights and we've been very impressed with how hard the kids have been working on their verse memory.
Dress as a Spy Night
Pet Potato Night
Cowboy & Cowgirl Night

Dress as your favorite nursery rhyme character night.
If you look close, you'll see we have Jack & Jill, One Blind Mouse, Jack Be Nimble, Mother Hubbard, Mary with her lambs, the Cow that jumped over the moon, Little Bo Beep, Little Boy Blue, and the Three Little Kittens.

Camping Time!

At the end of August our family got the opportunity to go camping in South Dakota with some of Sarah's family. It was a wonderfully relaxing and fun time. It might have to become an annual event!
Here is Samuel - he loved learning to ski!
Fun on the "banana"!
Hannah - just relaxing
This was Micah's favorite spot!
Rachel & Lydia also having fun in the water
Cousin time! Not all the cousins, but the ones we get to spend the most time with.
This is a picture of the kids and their cousins with the stuffed animals Grandpa won for them.

Baptism

Once again this fall, we had a baptism service down at Pueblo Lake.
Lydia was baptized. I'm so proud of her. She has such a desire to follow Jesus.
We also had three other ladies that were baptized that day.

The picture below is one of most of our group from the week. We had 52 different kids come throughout the week!
Craft time was also a highlight of the day!

More game time...even Micah got to have fun with all of them!
